8. Are wooden screen doors available with glass or plastic panels inserted in place of the screen panels?

If you desire energy saving panels of glass or plastic, including stained or etched glass, they are available, again designed and approved by the customer as needed.

9. Are wooden screen doors available with pet access?

Yes they are! The option exists to insert a wooden panel in the lower section of the screen door and then install a wide variety of pet entry flap door products into the door at height suitable to the specific pet.

10. How long does it take to get a custom wooden screen door?

When materials can be found locally, and that is usually the case, the time may be a short as two weeks.  Imported materials take longer due to shipping.

HOW TO ORDER

When you need assistance with a selection from the gallery or if you would like to discuss an original design, you may contact us by phone, or by email.

The next step will be to more clearly define your needs. We are happy to discuss dimensions, species of wood material, selection of available screen or glass material and hardware such as hinges, pulls, latches, closers, sweeps and thresholds.

As the process begins to develop we will investigate the job-site location and schedule a site visit to assess the application. If modification to what exists is needed, we will make the appropriate suggestions at that visit.

When we have a complete understanding of all the components necessary, we will print an estimation of cost and send that to you by way of: fax, email or regular mail.

An estimate marked “Accepted” signed and dated by the buyer then returned to Texas Doors and More, generates the order. Terms for payment will be clearly marked on the estimate.

A typical project takes about two weeks to complete in the shop. The availability of the materials may affect completion times in some cases. As the project comes together, you will be contacted to schedule installation. Installation will be performed by a professional who is fully trained and insured. Satisfaction with your purchase is paramount to Texas Doors and More and that will be reflected in our performance and the beauty that our doors will bring.
